Each Month in Social Media... [Infographic]

This is my first-ever attempt at an infographic with my limited design skills.  Feedback welcome!

Also, the stat I REALLY wanted to put on the YouTube timeline was how many hours of programming the big three (or big four or five) television networks have produced since the beginning of television.  I searched for hours and came up dry.  If you have any idea, please let me know!

It really puts things in perspective, doesn't it? My only suggestion would be to list it ascending from left to right, rather than right to left. I kept trying to read it from left to right, but maybe that’s just me.

Regarding the four large networks, I also could not find anything on them. However, even if you work with some assumptions, the number still comes up paltry compared to YouTube’s stats. If you assume that each of the stations has been around 80 years, and they produce content 24 hours a day (which we know they don’t), by my calculations you’d still only be looking at a combined 2,803,200 hours of content – essentially on par with YouTube’s monthly input.

Thanks, Raul. I'll see what other feedback I get on my left-right orientation. Good point!

And thanks for trying to track down that info. I was surprised it was difficult to seek out.

Pretty nice! I was thinking the same thing about the orientation, though. I think it would be better left-to-right.

Is it really from Q2 2010? Otherwise it's very helpful and would look cool on a slide. Bravo!

I'd have to agree; left to right would be the way to go.

Other than that, it's absolutely fantastic and professional looking! Astounding numbers put into perspective.

Great job.

Thanks guys. I appreciate the feedback. And Phil, I am SO living in last year, apparently.

Thanks, everyone!
