This is an Awareness Test

This not only happens to be a great ad, but it also helps make a point from my post earlier this week about our human filtering processes. We pay attention to what we want and discard the rest--we don't merely see it and ignore it; if something is meaningless to us, it simply doesn't exist.

This ad makes that point for a particular reason, but after enjoying the TV spot, consider how much advertising falls into the "does not exist category." Then consider the power of marketing that doesn't settle for communicating but instead engages, is experienced, and cannot not exist.
